Funny thing that I read this now. My son and I were discussing something similar earlier this morning. We were discussing animals (and other beings) of a specific group, for example dogs, sharing one big soul that incarnates individually in each type of dog and that every dog shares the knowledge, memories, and anything else that the big dog soul has experienced, knows, or remembers. Though I do feel that among domesticated animals that connection may be disrupted or corrupted even in some ways.
I do believe that animals, plants, stones, all beings carry ancestral memories and can/are tuned in to the energy of a place.
Thank you, this is exactly what I meant. If we carry a genetic memory from the first humans, why wouldn’t animals (or rocks, or flowers) do the same. 🌷
I completely agree with you. I have encountered it with horses, dogs and cats I have known. This may not be ancestral, but I have been with so many of the above that have been abused and have tried to help heal what I am sure is like PTSD in humans. They require so much gentling and love, even when they are acting fierce. I also believe that the earth collects memories. I have stood in places where horrific things have happened and had to vomit and rest for several days. My problem is how to let go of the pain of all of this go.
I do believe that animals can sense/see/feel other animals, whether from their own species or another. And I believe they feel the residual energetic imprints of animals in locations whether a farm, an old historical setting etc.
I've witnessed my dog who has seemed to see my old cat (I've also seen my old cat out of the corner of my eye, he visits often 💞) also I get a sense that she saw my old dog Mozi especially when she first arrived here after I rescued her. I feel sure that elephants remember and feel their old ancestors or places of previous generations and I think there has been a book written about this kind of phenomenon.
Yes, I've had those experiences too - especially with my dog. I've read about elephants, so I think there's definitely memory. I also wonder if they can sense the trauma that happened at a specific place.
Yes, like you I wonder about that too. A long time ago, I read a book called “When Elephants Weep” … I think in it there may be stories about elephants returning to places where a member of the group/family died. While I sense and sometimes feel an animals energy I wonder if I’m “making up a story” to fit my belief. So I doubt. But perhaps an animal communicator could answer your query. ✨💖🐕
My curiosity came from knowing we humans feel uncomfortable in certain places, even if we don’t know why. I can’t help believing that animals do the same.
Absolutely, the more time I spend in Vermont I can sense how animals (horses and dogs mostly) are affected by the energy of a place. When my sister passed, her dog moved thru the loss of her human in a very evident way. And when she comes up to the farm to visit she wimpers a bit, looks around (perhaps looking for my sister) then runs as she used to out to the apple trees and rolls in the grass. While not the same as what an animal may sense or experience of the energy where the battle of Gettysburg took place, it may be a clue as to what animals do sense in different places. It would be interesting to research if anyone has studied this. ✨💖
Oh Nancy I love this question. I have read animals many times and I believe I have seen this in readings but I have never specifically looked for it. I will look specifically for this now as I am so curious! I’ll let you know what I find!

Janne, the more I experience the more I absolutely agree with you. I tend to use tarot or some other divination to see if I can do any healing.
