Thank you for this post. The magic definitely seems to have skipped (hidden) 1-2 generations. I'm 53yo, and had many different "psychic gifts/abilities " open up in the past few years.

I've been tiptoeing around embracing that I am a witch of some kind. I've been studying Shamanic practices with teachers ( because being a Shamanic person seemed more "normal") than being witchy! Releasing many of the hooks of generational Catholic upbringing is challenging.

1week ago was the first time I wrote in my journal in all caps I AM A WITCH.

I was finally honest with myself.

It's nothing to do with having a "title". It felt like a welcoming to a much more comfortable/fitting circle of souls.

I'll do this as my morning ritual/meditation today.

My birthday is Jan 18th. Perfect timing for me!

The spiral path continues...🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀

Erin, breaking free of a generational Catholic upbringing is sooo hard. It creeps in at the oddest moments. And yet there are parts of it that I embrace and celebrate, it is a big part of what made me ME. It can be conflicting.

I discovered my Witch-hood through the writing of my book. I, too, am a cradle Catholic...and when I finally accepted who and what I am, I could reconcile the two.

This post made me tear up as I read it. I am just coming to the realization that I am a manifestation of other generations magick. I'm almost 50 and it's taken me this long to be open to and realize I am magical but that magic feels tied to something/someone else. I'm so glad I haven't this group and you to help me widen my perspective and help guide me.

Wendi, I honestly do not believe any of us would be in this group if we were not magical. So glad you are here.

I just used my Divine Feminine Oracle using this spread, and got quite a reading. Card #3 was particularly heartbreaking as I'm pretty sure I know which ancestor this most likely refers to, and why

What a wonderful deck to use!

From my deck, card #3 was Our Lady of Guadalupe - Empress of Protection: I am safe & divinely protected. I am held in love at all times. So the cause of the fade was not feeling safe & protected, particularly because of those who should have been doing both.

Your spreads are so incredible. Thank you. I had to laugh. In answer to "What energy, belief, or event caused this power to fade?" I pulled The Moon. This is my least favorite card. Everyone in my Patreon group knows I am agitated by this card and I've never really been sure why. Well, now I have some insight. Thank you, Nancy!

Isn't it so interesting when we pull the card we dislike? Mine is the 2 of Wands. What are the odds of the event that caused power to fade is the Moon?? You just can't make this stuff up.

Nancy, this will be my first tryst with ancestral magic and cards. I'm waiting for a quiet, private time....

Very wise of you. Just take your time and know that you are communicating with old friends.

This was so fascinating I got death as my magic which I assume it may mean transformation or a form of alchemizing. The part about what held it back was interesting cause it was public recognition..

Thank you for this. #2- How Does This Magic Uniquely Express Itself Through My Lineage: ‘Hope springs from the depths of an ancient wound.’

I have been working with Ancestral Trauma, so this seems fitting. ❤️

I so loved this post. My grandmother was a healer and didn't know it- and I feel myself connecting to that part that she unwittingly passed down.

Love the spread and the ritual! The idea of reconnecting with ancestral magick that might not have been passed down linearly, is really powerful.

In my family, anything that you can’t see and touch, would be described as nonsense and fantasy, especially by my mother. However, both my brother and I experience stuff that can’t be explained. Don’t know where it comes from, but as we are more open, I hope it’s something that will be passed on to the younger generation.
