There is an internal conflict occurring- it is the fire of the varying possibilities that each of the wands offer that is currently keeping him in this holding pattern. The high priestess is a gentle call to pause, get quiet, and tap into his deep knowing. Receive the information. There is risk in jumping into a new industry at 54, and here the 9 of cups is asking him to wish bigger for himself. What does he want and wish for in these next steps- beyond the wand that, before now, had been planted firmly in the ground representing stability and staying rooted in what has been. This wand has been uprooted, and for a reason. I would encourage him to feel into and visualize himself in this next part of his journey- not from a fear place, but from an intuitive , inspired place of what do you wish for yourself and what does that look like? Those 5 wands will calm down and start working together once his vision is clarified, and fear can settle.

The cards seem to say: “Open your eyes, this is ideal: you’re where you need to be. Find what you love, make a wish, and fight for it.”

To me, he needs to go where there’s competition, where there’s work. I don’t see him defending what he already has done, the field he was in — that would be 7 of Wands or 9 of Wands for instance. The 9 of Cups also indicates — to me, at least — that he has a lot to offer. And that he is pleased with the situation on an unconscious level.

Well, I would like to ask him a lot of questions to clarify!

And may I say that I didn’t know the Trippin’ Waite Tarot and that it looks amazing?
