Witch's Ledger | Full Moon Navigation Spread
July 7th
The July full moon is sometimes called the Buck Moon, named for the antlers pushing through in full summer growth. It arrives when the light is still high but already retreating. It’s a navigational moon, the kind that shows you both where you’ve come from and how far you’ve traveled.
The Navigator of the Tides worked with the moon the way other people use landmarks. Not as a mystical object. As information. The tides follow the moon. She knew this. She used it.
This week, you’re doing the Full Moon Navigation Spread, and you’re going to do it in two parts: a physical working and a card spread. Don’t skip the physical working. It is all in your intent, but the intent lands more cleanly when your hands are involved.
What You Need
A bowl of water, large enough to hold both hands if needed. A blue or silver candle. Something that floats, a small leaf, a flower, a piece of bark, a cork, anything light enough to move on the surface. A piece of paper and something to write with.
