The time has come,' the Walrus said, To talk of many things:
Of shoes — and ships — and sealing-wax — Of cabbages — and kings —
Borrowing heavily from Lewis Carroll’s The
Walrus and the Carpenter, today’s post goes from here to there. In no particular order:
I finally had the chance to watch the video on Witchcraft During World War II, presented by Julia Phillips. In brief, after extensive research, it was her opinion that a gathering of magickal folks in Britain may have raised a Cone of Power to prevent Hitler’s invasion, but the story - which began in 1952 - has morphed so much over the years, there’s no solid proof that the tale is true.
Julia referenced many news articles and books, including biographies of Gerald Gardner (founder of Wicca) and a book by ‘England’s most famous witch’, Sybil Leek. According to many people, witches were also responsible for keeping both the Spanish Armada and Napoleon from invading the island.
My own take on the events differ in that I’m not sure written references are ever going to be found. I know one person who was told the story first-hand from a participant, so I’m going to stay on the side of ‘the witches kept Hitler away’ debate. Thoughts?
Next, I want to let you know about
my Ancestral Magick course that will be available through Ethony Dawn’s Tarot Readers Academy. I’m currently in the process of making approximately 60 videos for the course, which will also include downloadable worksheets and exercises.
Putting the course together has been a challenge because I’m doing my best to blend the ideas from Ancestral Tarot, Grimoire, and Magick. It’s a feat, that’s for sure. I’m aiming for completion by Summer Solstice, and will send out a post when everything is available.
Erika Robinson is also doing a course for Ethony, on Lenormand. As you may or may not know, I rate Erika as one of the top three Lenormand readers in the world. If you want to add this system to your work, Erika is THE teacher.
As soon as I’ve completed my course for
Ethony Dawn, I’ll begin working on my presentation for the Kingston Tarot and Lenormand Conference, running November 8-10, in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. This three day event features Erika (Lenormand Significators), Sasha Graham (Shadow Work), Nancy Antenucci (The World, a Game of Love), and myself (Fool’s Path Through Ancestral Tarot).
You can attend in-person or virtually. Marilyn Shannon (of the crystal balls), has all the details on the site. Marilyn also offers a payment plan, which makes this amazing conference affordable.
Looking back . . .
Thank you for your comments on my post about crystal balls. A few people saw some pretty amazing things in the Labradorite, including a forest and path leading to light (my sister), as well as the Virgin Mary. Click the link and tell us what you saw. Also, I took the paywall off of the Blips in Time and Space article. Take a few minutes to read the post and comments. I’m forever mystified about the strange things in this world of ours . . . and this post shows just how strange they can be.
I feel like time just got away from me during our Canadian adventure . . . so this post is a tying up of loose ends of everything I wanted to share with you.
Until next time,
Nancy
