This is the second in a series that attempts to use divination to solve historical mysteries.
(You know I’m a geek like that!)
The Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil's Triangle,
is a triangular-shaped region between Florida, Bermuda, and Puerto Rico. Over time, a significant number of aircraft and ships have gone missing in this part of the Atlantic Ocean. One of the best known is the disappearance of five TBF Avengers on December 5, 1945. Later in the same day a PBM Mariner was lost while searching for the five Avengers.
Because I’m a history geek and fascinated by historical mysteries, I decided to turn to tarot to see if I could find an answer for the Triangle’s legendary history.
Using the Radiant Rider Waite (my deck dedicated to working with historical mysteries) I drew:
Page of Wands
King of Pentacles
6 Cups
Seven Wands
Ace Swords
What Do the Cards Tell Me?
1. Page of Wands: The Bermuda Triangle calls to the adventurous spirit, like the Page of Wands, who represents uncharted territory and a fearless desire for discovery. This area draws people with a daring heart, explorers and dreamers who want to unravel its mysteries. But, like all Pages, the adventurer doesn’t always know everything he should before setting out. For example, did the training flight of the Avengers simply get lost and run out of fuel?
2. King of Pentacles: The King of Pentacles reinforces a powerful presence in the area, hinting at hidden forces that manage or guard something valuable. Perhaps these are ancient forces or possibly even institutional or governmental interests that work to conceal what lies beneath. The Bermuda Triangle might be a gateway or a vault of knowledge that these powers are not yet ready to share. You know, like what really happened at Roswell, New Mexico? [a story for another time]
3. Six of Cups: This card brings a sense of nostalgia, suggesting that the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle is deeply rooted in the past, possibly tied to ancient civilizations or lost knowledge. Echoes of past eras linger here, pulling souls back to unfinished business or unresolved memories. This could imply that those drawn into the Bermuda Triangle are revisiting unresolved connections or ancient energies. Or, they could be repeating a pattern from childhood or the childhood of another life. After all, the seas have been sailed for centuries.
4. Seven of Wands: The Seven of Wands represents resistance and defending against forces trying to penetrate its secrets. Perhaps there is an active spiritual or energetic barrier in place, something designed to fend off intruders or keep knowledge from being misused. This card suggests that only those who are determined, who can withstand adversity, might have a chance to glimpse the truth. It also implies that even within this “siren’s call,” there is a strong, protective force maintaining distance from the everyday world.
5. Ace of Swords: The Ace of Swords symbolizes clarity, truth, and the cutting away of illusions. This card indicates that the Bermuda Triangle might hold revelations that could shatter preconceived notions or expose hidden truths. It could suggest that the area holds the potential for a breakthrough in knowledge—a place where the veil between known reality and deeper cosmic truths is thin. I have long posited that ‘the forces that rule’ fear that we humans couldn’t possibly handle knowledge that contradicts our present reality. Are we really ready to openly acknowledge and work with Beings from Not Here?
What I think
Based on my five-card draw, I think the Bermuda Triangle stands as a magnetic, almost sentient, realm. It definitely calls to adventurers and seekers, yet it’s fiercely guarded by ancient energies or hidden forces that won’t easily yield their secrets.
Those drawn there are reconnecting with echoes from past lives or lost civilizations, as if the Triangle itself holds memories from an older age. There is a barrier of resistance, a test to fend off the seeker. However, for those who persist, there lies the potential to break through barriers and discovery profound, life-altering truths.
Is it a test? Yes.
Is it an opportunity to reveal a world kept hidden? Yes.

P.S. I would *love* to hear your interpretation of these cards or your own. Thanks for leaving a comment.
Interesting and I agree with your interpretation.
Another great read. I love the way you interpret the 6 of Cups and the 7 of Wands in this, and all the other cards in relation to one another and the question. I read professionally, and in readings with clients, the card I used to most dislike was the 7 of Wands because invariably it meant the client was both deliberately keeping something veiled, rather than opening to being read, and challenging me to unearth their hidden secret as a test to see if this was real. These days, if the cards turns up, I just see it as a useful piece of information for navigating the session. Some clients are skeptics or naturally distrustful of others, and they set tests, sometimes unconsciously, to establish trust.
Seeing the 7 of Wands in your Bermuda Triangle reading lifted the card into a whole new relational context without altering its meaning in a powerful way.
